We at Sähkö-Jokinen are shocked and deeply concerned about the situation in Ukraine – especially as it concerns the Ukrainian people and the threat to peace in Europe. Sähkö-Jokinen has made a donation to the Finnish Red Cross and will continue to provide aid and support to those affected by the war.
We anticipate that the situation will disrupt the availability of steel in Europe and bring new challenges to our operations, both in terms of raw material availability and a sharp increase in prices.
The uncertainties we face are unpredictable. The skyrocketing prices of oil, natural gas, and electricity – alongside rising transport costs – will inevitably affect our pricing.
We will continue to work for the benefit of our customers to the best of our ability, relying on and trusting our longstanding partners. However, it is likely that our prices and other terms will be subject to change, both in our quotations and in previously placed orders.
